Shiv Pandit was born in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India on June 21, 1984. He attended Doon Public School in Dehradun and graduated from Hindu College in Delhi. Shiv spent much of his childhood in several cities due to his father’s government career, including Nagpur, Dehradun, Karnataka, and Delhi. He has been interested in performing since his undergraduate days and has actively participated in different stage performances as well as worked as a theatrical artist.
Shiv has been in advertisements for companies such as LG, Colgate, Airtel, Tide, Sprite, and many others. He presented the first edition of the show ‘Extraaa Innings T20’ for the Indian Premier League in 2008. (IPL). Shiv is also a high school football player. He co-owns the ‘Chandigarh Cubs cricket side in the Box Cricket League (BCL) with actress Anita Hassanandani. Shiv has also been on shows such as Studio Disney and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (season 3). He is frequently commended for taking on difficult jobs.

Shiv is from a Hindu family by birth. His father worked for the government. Arjun Pandit, a sports anchor for STAR Sports, is his brother, while Gayatri Pandit is his sister (Assistant Director).
On May 9, 2018, in Mumbai, Shiv wed his longtime partner, the costume designer, and stylist Ameira Punvani.

He made his cinematic debut in the year 2004 with the English flick Let’s Enjoy. Later, in 2009, he had an appearance in the Hindi film Aagey Se Right.
However, the 2011 film “Shaitan” served him his major break (an Indian Crime Thriller). For his performance in the film Shaitan, he received nominations for the Filmfare Award, Big Star Young Entertainer Debut of the Year, and Screen Award.
Shiv was named the Times of India’s ‘Most Promising Newcomer’ in 2011. Shiv was given the lead role in the Tamil film ‘Leelai’ in 2012. For him, there has been no turning back since. He performed a minor part in the film “Boss,” which starred Akshay Kumar. He has appeared in films like as “Desi Boyz,” “Roy,” and Shivaay, for which his sister Gayatri Pandit served as an assistant director. Shiv starred as the lead in the 2016 Bollywood thriller 7 Hours To Go, with Sandeepa Dhar and Varun Badola.
In the Netflix film Loev, directed by Sudhanshu Saria, Shiv played the lead homosexual character opposite Dhruv Ganesh in 2015. In 2016, the movie earned the AT&T Audience Award at the Frameline Film Festival and the Best Feature Audience Award at the Tel Aviv Film Festival. He was a guest star on Untag and Selection Day, two web series.
