Indira Tiwari is a Bhopal-born Indian cinema and theatre actor. She graduated with honours from Barkatullah University and was chosen to pursue a Masters’s degree in acting at India’s famed National School of Drama, which she finished in 2018. Her debut film role was as a youngster in director Prakash Jha’s 2011 Bollywood film “Aarakshan,” in which she co-starred with screen superstar Amitabh Bachchan.
She co-stars as the female lead with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Sudhir Mishra’s 2020 Netflix original film “Serious Men,” which is based on Manu Joseph’s PEN Open Book Award-winning novel. Tiwari appeared in Suman Mukhopadhyay’s 2019 Hindi feature film “Nazarband,” as well as various short films, including the famous 2017 social criticism.
