Igor Vladimirovich Akinfeev (born 8 April 1986) famously known as Igor Akinfeev is a Russian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for and captains the Russian club CSKA Moscow. More than 700 official appearances have been made by him during his career at CSKA. In addition to winning six Russian Premier League titles and six Russian Cups, he also won the UEFA Cup in 2005.

As of 31 July 2022, he holds the record for most games played in the Russian top-level league with 517. Between 2004 and 2018, he earned 111 caps for Russia and was selected for four UEFA European Championships and two FIFA World Cups. Following the retirement of his predecessor Vasili Berezutski, he was named captain of Russia in March 2017. In Russian football, Akinfeev has kept more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper.
