Early Life

The only son and third child of Gerald Grosvenor, 6th Duke of Westminster, and Natalia (née Phillips), Hugh Richard Louis Grosvenor is their only child. On June 23, 1991, he was baptised into the Church of England. He is related to the Russian writer Alexander Pushkin and his wife Natalia Nikolayevna Goncharova through his mother, as well as to Pushkin’s great-grandfather, the former African slave turned Russian aristocrat Abram Petrovich Hannibal.

Through Natalia Nikolayevna Goncharova, Hugh Richard Louis Grosvenor is also a direct descendant of Petro Doroshenko, the Hetman of the Zaporizhian Host. She is the illustrious Ukrainian Hetman’s great-great-granddaughter. Lady Tamara Katherine Grosvenor, who married Hugh van Cutsem’s son Edward van Cutsem, and Lady Edwina Louise Grosvenor are his older sisters (married TV historian Dan Snow).

The latter is a co-founder of The Clink Restaurants and a philanthropist who works to rehabilitate prisons. Lady Viola Georgina Grosvenor is the youngest of the sisters. The earliest male heir is entitled to the dukedom, according to the letters patent that established it. He holds a prominent position in the hierarchy of precedence in England and Wales as a duke.

Hugh Grosvenor Education

All of the siblings attended a nearby public elementary school before transferring to Mostyn House School, a small private day school, which is close to the family’s Eaton Hall, Cheshire, residence.

From 2000 through 2009, he studied at Ellesmere College in Shropshire. He studied countryside management at Newcastle University from 2010 to 2013, where he earned a Bachelor of Science with upper second-class honours.

Professional Career

Following graduation from college, the then- Earl Grosvenor, as he was known, worked in estate management for Wheatsheaf Investment from 2013 to 2014 and for the Grosvenor Group from 2014 to 2015 before taking a position as accounts manager at the energy firm Bio-bean in January 2016.

In addition to the peerages and a wealth estimated at £9 billion at the time of his father’s passing in August 2016, he also received significant trust monies for his sisters. The 7th Duke of Westminster, as he was titled, is a beneficial owner but not the legal owner of this fortune, which is held in a trust.

This arrangement, which offers an inheritance tax exemption, attracted a lot of media interest. In August 2016, upon the passing of his father, he assumed the Dukedom. As his ancestors before him have done, he takes seriously his family’s and the Estate’s social obligations to make a genuine and significant contribution to a better society.

He accomplishes this by playing a role in establishing Grosvenor’s cultural framework, which aims to provide long-lasting economic, social, and environmental benefits, as well as through his philanthropic endeavours and support of charitable causes and neighbourhood associations.

His 1991 birthdate and attitude enable him to empathise with and comprehend challenges affecting the next generation. He has a particular interest in corporate activities that promote sustainability and long-term environmental and land stewardship. His humanitarian work focuses on opening doors for young people to chances in life.

He has also led a significant fundraising effort for the Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre, a project his father started to aid in the recovery of badly hurt or disabled personnel of the armed forces. The Duke and his family have contributed personally £105 million to the scheme.

The Duke is still heavily involved in the project to build a National rehabilitation centre for civilians on the same site as the Defence clinical rehabilitation facility (the “D” in the DNRC), sharing knowledge and resources with the nearby Defence establishment. This facility is located on the Stanford Hall Rehabilitation Estate near Loughborough and is known as the “D” in the DNRC.

The Duke attended Newcastle University and worked at Bio-Bean in London, the largest recycler of coffee grinds into effective and ecological goods, before being elected a Trustee of Grosvenor.

Hugh Grosvenor Personal Life

It was a sad day when Hugh’s father passed away in 2016 at the age of 64. The son was still, of course, given the title of 7th Duke of Westminster, which allowed him to inherit the family’s money, which totaled about $12.6 billion, as well as 300 acres in Central London’s Mayfair and Belgravia, Eaton Hall in Cheshire, and investments in 60 cities across the globe.

The reason “The Sunday Times” calls him “the most eligible bachelor in the world” is therefore rather obvious. We were curious about Hughie because his life seemed so adventurous and opulent, but we also wanted to learn more about him. Hugh Grosvenor, the third in line to the throne and the Duke of Westminster, is dating someone. He is not quite thirty years old.

According to rumours, Harriet Tomlinson is the luckiest woman alive because she also has the privilege of dating the Duke of Westminster. Hugh Grosvenor and Harriet Tomlinson started dating after meeting at Ellesmere College. The couple’s origin tale is fairly simple as it is. At the coed, independent boarding school Ellesmere College, Hugh and his girlfriend Tomlinson first became friends.

After graduation from college, the pair split up as Grosvenor moved to Newcastle University and then Oxford to study countryside management. Contrarily, Harriet earned a bachelor’s degree in teaching from the University of Wales in Cardiff, and in 2013 she completed a postgraduate programme at University College London in events management and public relations.

We now have a basic understanding of Harriet Tomlinson’s educational history, so let’s learn more about her personal life to gain a deeper understanding of her. With her parents, Graeme and Louise Tomlinson, and a younger sister, Harriet, 28, resides in a Victorian home near Chester on the banks of the River Dee.

Harriet currently resides in Cheshire with her parents, sister, and their former curtain-making company. Additionally, according to the reports, Hughie made a few trips to Tomlinson, spending two of them boating along the river. Harriet previously appeared on the political comedy TV programme “Unspin” and has worked as a venue finding executive at “The AOK Events Group” for less than a year.

She is not the type of person who is still with the Duke of Westminster, even though she spent some time on the show and did other things. When discussing their relationship, the two admitted that they had been together and apart at various points, but now they both feel prepared for the next stage of their romantic lives.

The 54-bedroom Eaton Hall in Cheshire, his family’s country estate, was spread across 11,000 acres (45 km x km) of parkland, gardens, and stables. Masterpieces and paintings by Goya, Rubens, Raphael, Rembrandt, Hals, and Velázquez were displayed on the walls of the main house. The Duke was an enthusiastic hunter and owned hunting lodges in Scotland and France (the Château Woolsack).

He “was active up to the day of his death in large plans of afforestation in Cheshire, in the Lake District, and in Scotland,” according to his Times obituary (21 July 1953). He had an option between the yachts Cutty Sark and Flying Cloud for his marine trips.

In order to make it easier to commute from Eaton Hall to London, where his townhouse Grosvenor House was situated, he had a private train and 17 Rolls Royce cars built. Later, the United States leased Grosvenor House to serve as its embassy.
