Career
Thakur made her cinematic debut in 2004 with the flick Hava Aney Dey. She and Prachi Desai, who starred in Kasamh Se, were named Best Fresh Face of the Year – Female 2006 at the Sixth Indian Telly Awards. In 2007, she married her childhood buddy Sanjot Vaidya.
Thakur made his television debut in Zee TV’s popular serial Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar (2005 – 2009). She also played Maharani Jaiwanta Bai Songara (Maharana Pratap’s Mother) in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap, which aired on Sony TV between 2013 and 2014.
Thakur began her role as Preeti Jhindal in Star Plus’s Shaadi Mubarak alongside Manav Gohil in August 2020. Due to her rigorous schedule, she left the program in October. Rati Pandey stepped in as a substitute. Her next appearance will be in the forthcoming program Appnapan Badalate Rishton ka Bandhan.
