Carmo, an Angolan-born Aveiro native, enrolled in Braga’s youth academy at the age of 16. [4] On August 18, 2018, he made his LigaPro professional debut with the team’s reserves, appearing in the whole 1-0 home loss against Estoril. He appeared in 26 more games throughout the season, which resulted in his relegation.
On May 17, 2019, Carmo received his first call-up to the first team. He did not participate in the last matchday, a 2-0 Primeira Liga victory at home over Portimonense.
On January 17, 2020, he played in his debut top-flight game, coming on to replace Raul Silva at halftime of the away game against Porto. Shortly after that, he gave up a penalty, which Francisco Soares failed to convert with the result being 1-0 for the visiting team.
