Carmo, an Angolan-born Aveiro native, enrolled in Braga’s youth academy at the age of 16.  On August 18, 2018, he made his LigaPro professional debut with the team’s reserves, appearing in the whole 1-0 home loss against Estoril. He appeared in 26 more games throughout the season, which resulted in his relegation.
On May 17, 2019, Carmo received his first call-up to the first team. He did not participate in the last matchday, a 2-0 Primeira Liga victory at home over Portimonense.
On January 17, 2020, he played in his debut top-flight game, coming on to replace Raul Silva at halftime of the away game against Porto. Shortly after that, he gave up a penalty, which Francisco Soares failed to convert with the result being 1-0 for the visiting team.
