Armando Enrique Cooper Whitaker, an Israeli midfielder for Maccabi Petah Tikva and a member of Panama’s national team, was born in Panama on November 26, 1987.

On November 30, he scored his first goal for Toronto FC as they defeated Montreal Impact 7-5 on the road to the 2016 MLS Cup Final. Cooper committed to playing for Toronto FC full-time after the 2016 MLS Cup Playoffs. Cooper departed the team when Toronto rejected his contract option on December 14, 2017.
Cooper took part in the 2007 U-20 World Cup in Canada as a member of the Panama U-20 team.
On October 7, 2006, against the national team of El Salvador, he made his debut with the whole squad. In a 2011 Copa Centroamericana game between Panama and Nicaragua that was contested at Estadio Rommel Fernández in Panama City on January 16, 2011, he scored his first goal for Panama in a 2-0 victory.
He was included in the first 35-man roster for Panama’s World Cup team in Russia in May 2018. Cooper participated in Panama’s first two matches against England and Belgium but was suspended for the team’s third and final game against Tunisia after picking up two yellow cards.
