Early Life & Education

Aman Gupta was born on 4th March 1982, in Delhi.  His mother’s name is  Jyoti Kochar Gupta, and his father’s name is Neeraj Gupta. He has two siblings, a brother named Anmol Gupta and a sister named Neha Gupta. He graduated from Delhi Public School in R.K. Puram with a commerce stream in 1998.

After graduating from DPS, he enrolled in Shaheed Bhagat Singh College under Delhi University, to study B. Com. in 1998. Aman’s father encouraged him to pursue a career as a Chartered Accountant while he was in his undergraduate years, and he enrolled in the ICAI CA program in 1999. Between the two programs, he got bored in CA. Even though, he graduated from the CA program in 2022, making him one of India’s youngest CAs.

Aman entered Citibank as an Assistant Manager following obtaining his CA and stayed there till 2005. Aman founded Advanced Telemedia Pvt Ltd with his father in September 2005. He was the organization’s CEO and co-founder. When his firm did not perform well, his wife advised that he obtain an MBA.

Aman Gupta enrolled in the MBA program with a major in Finance & Strategy at Indian School Business in mid-2010. He was also an exchange student at Kellogg Graduate School of Management, where he earned an MBA in General Management and Marketing.

Following his MBA, he worked with KPMG as a Senior Management Consultant and HARMAN International as a Director.

Early Career

Between 2003 and 2005, Aman Gupta worked for Citi as an Assistant Manager. In September 2005, he was the CEO of Advanced Telemedia Pvt. Ltc., which he also co-founded. In March 2010, he closed the company and went to IBS for MBA.

After completing his MBA Gupta was employed at KMPG as a senior management consultant between June 2011 and February 2012.

Between 2012-2013, Gupta was a Director of revenues at Harman International before founding boAt,  where he handled a spectrum of brands in the consumer electronics industry distributed by Harman International in India, notably JBL, Harman Kardon, & AKG.
