Career
Facebook
On February 4, 2004, while still being at Harvard, Mark Zuckerberg launched thefacebook.com, a directory in which fellow Harvard students entered their own information and photos into a template that he had devised.
His roommates named Dustin Moskovitz & Chris Hughes, helped Zuckerberg add features to make the site more accessible & available to all campuses across the country.
Facebook quickly became increasingly popular as registered users could create profiles, upload photos and other media, and keep in touch with friends.
It differed from other social networking sites at that time, as the site gave more emphasis on real names & e-mail addresses.
In 2004, Moskovitz, Zuckerberg & Hughes moved their first headquarters to Palo Alto, California, where venture capitalist Peter Thiel gave them seed money. Zuckerberg dropped out of Harvard to concentrate on Facebook.
In May 2005 Facebook received its first major infusion of venture capital ($12.7 million).
Later in September 2005 Facebook opened to registration for high-school students. Meanwhile, many foreign colleges and universities also began to sign up to the site, and by September 2006 everyone with an e-mail address could enter a regional network based on their location.
In 2007 Facebook struck a deal with Microsoft in which the software company paid $240 million for a 1.6 percent stake in Facebook. Two years later Digital Sky Technologies acquired a 1.96 percent share of Facebook for $200 million.
In 2008, Mark Zuckerberg’s new net worth was estimated at around $1.5 billion. After Facebook’s initial public offering of Facebook stock in 2012, Zuckerberg’s net worth was estimated at over $19 billion.
Since 2010s, Facebook has faced legal fights, as well as has seen a significant expansion in its user base.
Facebook revealed its first-quarter profits for 2021 on April 28, 2021. The business announced operating income of $26.17 billion, up 48 percent from the year-ago quarter, and increased profits per share & net income.
In late 2021, Facebook changed its company name to Meta and announced the Metaverse.
In 2013, Mark Zuckerberg established Internet.org, something he described as an effort to provide the Internet to the 5 billion people who did not have it at the time of the launch.
In India, protestors complained that the project’s limited internet violated the idea of net neutrality. Zuckerberg countered that a restricted internet was preferable than without internet. In February 2016, Internet.org was decommissioned in India.
Later, Zuckerberg met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, and Google CEO Sundar Pichai to explore ways to provide inexpensive Internet access to developing nations.
Zuckerberg is also a board member of Breakthrough Starshot, a solar sail spacecraft development initiative he co-founded in 2016.

With a 2–1 win, ‘Manchester United’ won its 12th ‘FA Cup’ title. Prior to renewing his deal with ‘Manchester United,’ he had scored eight goals in 18 appearances.
With his first goal against ‘Hull City’ on August 27, 2016, Rashford had a rousing start to his next season. This was followed by three more goals the following month: one against ‘Watford’ on 18 September, one against ‘Northampton Town’ on 21 September in the ‘EFL Cup,’ and one against ‘Leicester City’ on 24 September.
There were no goals for Rashford in any of those games, except for Rashford’s goal in the ‘FA Cup’ on January 7, 2017, which won the game 4–0 for Manchester United.
As a sub, Rashford scored an important goal in the 107th minute against ‘Anderlecht,’ assuring his team’s victory and advancing them to the next round of the ‘Europa League’ on February 26, 2017.
Rashford played 53 games as a Manchester United player, more than any other player since the beginning of the season. The season ended with ‘Manchester United’ winning 2–0 against ‘Ajax’ in the Euro League final.
Ashford made his first senior appearance on August 8, 2017, against ‘Real Madrid’ in the ‘UEFA Super Cup.’ He entered the game in the 46th minute as a substitute. A week later, his team lost 2–1 to ‘Real Madrid.’ Five days after that, Manchester United won 4–0 at home against ‘West Ham.
He scored his first goal of the season on August 26, 2017, as a substitute in a 2–0 win against Leicester City. In September 2017, Rashford scored his sixth goal in his sixth competition debut against Basel. On October 21, 2017, he finished the season by scoring against ‘Huddersfield Town’.

Born in Wortley, Leeds, Milner spent most of his childhood playing football at Westbrook Lane Primary School in Horsforth. Milner attended Horsforth School for his secondary education. Graeme Coulson, a Rawdon coach, recognized Milner’s talent and persuaded him to play for Rawdon in several tournaments, including one at Rawdon Meadows, where Milner scored four goals in their win.
Milner achieved 11 GCSEs and an award in physical education at his school; he was described as a “first-class” student. Milner played cricket for the Yorkshire Schools team, was the cross-country champion at his school for three consecutive years, and the district champion over 100 meters for two years running. At Boston Spa School, a sports college affiliated with the football club, he completed his studies.
From a young age, Milner supported his hometown club Leeds United. The first memory he has of the team is of them winning the FA Youth Cup in 1993. Milner and his parents, Peter and Lesley, were season ticket holders. Milner later became a ball boy for the club.
After being spotted by a scout while playing for Westbrook Juniors in Horsforth, Milner joined the Leeds United Academy at the age of 10. Milner played against contemporaries from other clubs in Northern England, including the future Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney. Leeds-born Alan Smith, then a Leeds United striker, was his role model.
He believed playing with Smith put him through a learning curve, as Smith had achieved what he had aspired to incoming through the academy and playing for the first team. Milner was hired as a trainee after leaving the Academy after making good progress there. To continue his education, his father, however, insisted he attend college once a week.
Milner continued to play for England’s under-15 and under-17 teams while in the youth team. His goal against Brazil helped England’s under-17 team win the Nationwide summer tournament against Italy, the Czech Republic, and Brazil in 2002.

Leeds’ first-team debut for Milner came on 10 November 2002, when he came on as a substitute for Jason Wilcox for the last six minutes of the match against West Ham United. At 16 years and 309 days, he became the second-youngest player in Premier League history.
With a goal in a 2 – 1 win against Sunderland on 26 December 2002, he became the youngest player to score in the Premier League at 16 years and 356 days. James Vaughan of Everton broke his record in 2005. Two days later, Milner scored again, using a deft first touch of the ball and maneuver to avoid a tackle by Chelsea defender Marcel Desailly. With this maneuver, he created a yard of space for him to deliver a curling shot from 18 yards (16 m).
Leeds signed Milner to a five-year contract on 10 February 2003 after he made more appearances for them. Milner spent one month on loan with Swindon Town during the 2003 – 04 season to gain experience as a first-team player. As a player, he saw it as a valuable experience.
In contrast, Leeds’ fortunes were in decline; the team became the subject of numerous negative stories in the media, and several first-team players were sold.
The club’s eventual relegation to the Championship led to speculation about Milner’s future. Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Everton have all expressed interest in signing him. Ultimately, Villa and Everton failed to make an offer, and Milner rejected an offer from Tottenham due to their location being too far from his family home.
Leeds insisted he would not be sold, with chairman Gerald Krasner describing him as “the future of Leeds”. Nevertheless, financial problems forced Leeds to sell Milner to Newcastle United for £5 million. Milner did not want to leave the club he supported as a child, however, he wanted to do what was “in the club’s best interest” and in July 2004 he signed a five-year contract with Newcastle.
Newcastle United
On Newcastle United’s pre-season tour of Asia, Milner scored his first goal for the club in a 1 – 1 draw against Kitchee in Hong Kong. He observed how Newcastle striker Alan Shearer handled attention from fans and the media during this tour.
On 18 August 2004, Milner played his first Premier League match for Newcastle against Middlesbrough as a winger, despite having played on the left for Leeds.
During Newcastle’s UEFA Cup match against Bnei Sakhnin from Israel, he made his UEFA Cup debut after coming on as a substitute for Shola Ameobi. Also as a substitute, he scored his first competitive goal for the club in a 3 – 1 win against West Bromwich Albion.
Despite starting 13 league matches under Souness, he did not play his first Premier League match for Newcastle until April 2005. Milner was frustrated by not being a starter for most of the season.
Milner scored in Newcastle’s 3 – 1 away win against FK ZTS Dubnica in the UEFA Intertoto Cup at the start of the 2005 – 06 season and provided the assist for the team’s third goal through Alan Shearer.
Loan to Aston Villa
Newcastle’s purchase of Nolberto Solano from Aston Villa resulted in Milner being loaned to Villa for the remainder of the season. Milner was acquired in this deal by David O’Leary, who worked with Milner at Leeds, and who said he hoped Villa would improve him as a player.
In a Premier League match against West Ham United on 12 September 2005, he made his Villa debut. Five days later, he scored his first goal for the club in a 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur. The following week, he scored two goals in a second-half comeback against Wycombe Wanderers to help his team recover from being 3 – 1 down at halftime.
Milner remained optimistic about his team throughout the season. Villa will recover from their poor start to the season, and he praised the quality of their squad.
Villa fans generally regarded Milner as a positive signing during a disappointing season. Milner himself also saw the loan move positively, saying that he would like to join Villa permanently because of the possibility of becoming a regular starter, but that the possibility was beyond his control.
Newcastle manager Glenn Roeder appeared to appreciate Milner’s skills more than Souness and wanted him to remain at the club. In addition to O’Leary’s departure and the lack of transfer funds at Villa, a deal for Milner to sign permanently seemed unlikely.
When Villa rejected an offer of Milner as part of a trade for Gareth Barry in June, it became even less likely. The deal was revived when Randy Lerner acquired Villa, and Martin O’Neill was appointed manager. Villa were apparently close to signing Milner, but Newcastle recalled him at the last minute and the deal collapsed.
Return to Newcastle United
Milner’s return to Newcastle was welcomed by the players and manager Glenn Roeder at the start of the 2006 – 07 season. For the entire season, Milner started for Newcastle.
Despite Newcastle’s poor start in the 2006 – 07 Premier League, Milner played a major role in helping the Magpies reach the round of 16 of the UEFA Cup, playing all but one of the Magpies’ 12 games. Milner and Roeder both denied the rumors that he would be sold in the January transfer window.
In a 2 – 2 draw with Manchester United on 1 January 2007, Milner scored his first goal of the season. A “stunning” shot from 25 yards (23 meters) away resulted in the goal. During the next three weeks, he scored two more goals, against Birmingham City and then against West Ham United.
During the season, Milner displayed his ability to play in a range of different positions by scoring and setting up goals from both sides. Milner signed a new contract with Newcastle in January, securing his future at the club until 2011. In May 2007, when Sam Allardyce took over as Newcastle manager, he signed a new four-year contract.
He scored Newcastle’s 500th Premier League goal against Tottenham Hotspur in late October. A shot intended as a cross provided a fortunate second Premier League goal of the season in the Tyne-Wear derby. During the season, Allardyce praised Milner, calling him “a highly experienced Premier League player”.
In May 2008, it was rumored that Milner would be part of a transfer between Newcastle and Liverpool after missing the final nine matches of the season due to a foot injury.
Despite starting the season for Newcastle and scoring against Coventry City in the League Cup, it was revealed after the match that Milner had submitted a transfer request the week before.
Aston Villa
Aston Villa signed Milner on 29 August 2008 for £12 million and he signed a four-year contract. As a second-half substitute against Liverpool, Milner made his Villa debut on 31 August 2008.
The first goals of his second spell at Villa came in a third-round FA Cup tie against Gillingham at Priestfield Stadium on 4 January 2009 on his 23rd birthday, where he scored both goals in a 2 – 1 win for Villa.
In his second spell at Villa, Milner scored his first Premier League goal in a 2 – 1 victory over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on 17 January 2009. Milner was named to England’s senior team for the first time in February 2009, after impressing England manager Fabio Capello during his time at club level.
On 7 February, Milner scored his second league goal of the season against Blackburn Rovers. A 25-yard free-kick on 12 April helped Villa come back from a 3 – 1 deficit to draw 3 – 3 against Everton at home. Despite being only 23 years old, he has played for thirteen different managers and caretakers so far in his career.
Milner moved into central midfield after the sale of Gareth Barry to Manchester City at the start of the 2009 – 10 season. In the 2010 League Cup Final, he scored the opening goal with a penalty.
Manchester United defeated Villa 2 – 1. Milner finished the season with 12 goals and was named Aston Villa’s Fan’s Player of the Year and the PFA Young Player of the Year.
Manchester City offered £20 million for Milner on 19 May 2010. This offer was rejected. Martin O’Neill stated on 22 July 2010 that Milner had shown a desire to leave Villa for City, but would only be sold at Villa’s valuation.
Even though he was on the verge of a move to Manchester City, Milner played in Villa’s first match of the season against West Ham United, scoring Villa’s third goal. Milner received a standing ovation when he was substituted near the end of the match.
Manchester City
It was reported on 17 August 2010 that Aston Villa and Manchester City had agreed to sell Milner subject to a medical. The deal was reported to be worth around £26 million, which included the transfer of Stephen Ireland.
He made his debut for City on 23 August 2010 in a 3 – 0 home win against Liverpool, where he set up former Villa teammate Gareth Barry’s first goal. In Manchester City’s FA Cup third-round tie with Leicester City which ended in a 2 – 2 draw, Milner scored his first competitive goal for the club.
On 24 September 2011, Milner scored his first Premier League goal for Manchester City against Everton. He scored his second against former club Aston Villa in a 4 – 1 victory two matches later.
Manchester City won the Manchester derby 6 – 1 the following week, inflicting the heaviest home league loss on Manchester United since 1930. Milner assisted on both goals. During the 2011 – 12 season, Milner made 26 Premier League appearances as Manchester City won the league title for the first time in 44 years.
As City beat Chelsea at Villa Park in August 2012, Milner won his first Community Shield. Milner scored his first goal of the season on 6 October 2012 from a free-kick to seal a 3 – 0 win against Sunderland. In a 2 – 1 win over West Bromwich Albion on 20 October, he received his first Premier League red card.
In January 2013, he scored City’s opening goal in a 2 – 0 away win at Arsenal, the first time a City player had scored away from Arsenal in the league since 2007 and City’s first win over Arsenal since 1975.
In the Manchester derby on 8 April, he scored as Manchester City defeated Manchester United 2 – 1 at Old Trafford.
He became the first English player to score for Manchester City in the competition that season when he scored the winning goal in a 3 – 2 victory against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in the UEFA Champions League on 10 December 2013.
The following season, Milner won his first League Cup winners medal and his second Premier League title. In May 2015, Milner played his final game for City, winning 2 – 0 over Southampton.
Liverpool
Milner joined Liverpool on a free transfer from Manchester City on 4 June 2015. Milner was announced as the vice-captain on 7 August 2015. In the club’s 1 – 0 win over Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium, Milner played his first competitive match.
During his third appearance for Liverpool, a 0 – 0 draw at Arsenal, Milner captained the club for the first time. He scored his first goal for Liverpool in a 3 – 2 win over Aston Villa at Anfield on 26 September 2015.
At the end of his first season with the club, he played in the 2016 UEFA Europa League Final. During his first season with Liverpool, Milner scored seven goals across all competitions.
In Liverpool’s 1 – 1 draw with Manchester City on 19 March 2017, Milner scored. By doing so, he broke the Premier League record for the most matches scored without losing (47 matches).
By assisting Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s goal against Man City in the quarter-final first leg on 4 April 2018, he equaled the Champions League assist record (8 assists).
With his assist on Roberto Firmino’s second goal in the 5 – 2 semi-final, first-leg win over Roma on 24 April 2018, Milner became the first player in Champions League history to provide 9 assists in a single season.
Milner scored his 50th Premier League goal during a 1-1 draw with Arsenal in November 2018. When he won 4 – 0 at Bournemouth the following month, Milner became just the 13th player (and the second youngest after former Aston Villa, Man City, and England teammate Gareth Barry) in Premier League history to reach 500 appearances.
Milner won his first Champions League title on 1 June 2019. He came on as a substitute in Liverpool’s 2 – 0 win over Tottenham in the final.
On 14 August 2019, Milner won his first UEFA Super Cup, starting the match against Chelsea in Istanbul as the Champions League holders beat the Europa League winners on penalties.
Milner reportedly signed a new contract in December keeping him at Liverpool until 2022, although the club did not specify the length of the contract. In June, Milner played as a substitute as Liverpool won the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time in the club’s history, beating Flamengo 1 – 0 in the final.
Milner won his third Premier League title and his first with Liverpool on 25 June 2020.
The 2020 – 21 season saw Milner make just 11 starts and 26 appearances across all competitions. As a result, he had his first goalless season. On the final day of the season, Liverpool qualified for the Champions League by finishing third, despite multiple difficulties.
International Career

During the under-21 friendly against Romania, Milner was included in the squad, which ended in a 1 – 1 draw. The following month, Milner made his 30th appearance for England under-21s in a 3 – 0 win against Montenegro.
It has been historically rare for players with several England Under-21 appearances to make the transition and become regulars for the senior team, which has led some to doubt Milner’s ability to do so. He scored his third goal for the under-21 team against the Republic of Ireland in October. Four months later, he scored again in England’s 3 – 0 victory in their return match.

Life Journey
The WoodGram team presents the full story of a football genius known by his full name; Jorge Resurreccion Merodio.
In Koke’s Childhood Story, we have included both his Untold Biography Facts as well as a full account of notable events that occurred from his childhood time to his adulthood time. There is a detailed analysis of his early life, family background, life story before fame, rise to fame, relationship, lifestyle, and personal life, etc.
The truth is, everyone knows that Koke is one of the best-attacking midfielders Europe has ever seen, a successor to Xavi who has a great eye for goals. Even so, there are only a few football fans who pay attention to Koke’s biography, which is quite fascinating. Let us get going now, without further ado.
In order to start off, his full name is Jorge Resurreccion Merodio. Known affectionately by his father, Eugenio ResurrecciOn, as “Koke”, he was born on the 8th day of January 1992 in Madrid, Spain to his mother, Mrs. Merodio, as well as his father, Mr. ResurrecciOn.
Koke was born in Colonia de Los Taxistas, a suburb of Madrid well known as the birthplace of Spanish striker, Alvaro Negredo. The town is just 14 kilometers southeast of the center of Madrid, just off the beaten path.
In light of Koke’s father’s name “Resurrection”, whose meaning in the English language is “resurrection”, you can easily guess he was born into a Roman Catholic household.
In short, the name “Koke” is simply a nickname that originates from Koke’s elder brother. The Spaniard began his life as a member of a middle-class family household. Eugenio, Koke’s father, worked as a worker at a factory located in Madrid and his mother was a housekeeper who ensured the well-being of all members of the family, including her beloved son, Koke.
Koke did not just grow up in his family’s house alone. Among his siblings, there were two brothers and three sisters. Koke has always been close to his older brother, who is also his big brother since they were children.
The two brothers did not inherit the third eye or what is often referred to as the “Creative Instinct” that famous players like Santi Cazorla and David Silva brought with them from South Spain. Instead, Koke started out by molding things into soccer balls, which he played at home with his brother.
When they played on local pitches with their friends, both brothers exemplified family traits such as being “humble” and very dedicated to building a successful career for themselves.
Unfortunately, it was able to be only Koke who made progress with his football at the local fields of Colonia de Los Taxistas. Having put in a lot of effort, Koke was able to gain a place at the Atletico academy as a result of his efforts.
At the age of eight, Koke’s passion for soccer led him to enroll in the Atletico Madrid Academy, where he was able to develop his skills. It was his encounter with Fernando Tones, who had just joined the Atletico Madrid senior team in the year 2001, that will always remain in his memory as one of his most memorable experiences with the club.
In his long quest to become a professional with the club, Cooke looked up to Torres as a role model. Despite his promising early career as a footballer, he possessed a steely determination to make his dreams come true. Even though Koke was the smallest among his age group as shown in the picture below, his ambitions to achieve the highest level of excellence didn’t go unnoticed.
During his time at Atletico, Koke continued to mature. Not only did he see himself growing up quickly, he also saw that he settled well into life at the Academy. Through all of the age groups, Koke showed a serene progression. It was exactly on the 19th of September 2009 that his professional dreams were realized with the Atletico Madrid senior team.
A year later, in 2009, Koke cemented his reputation as a future star of the Spanish national team. The reason for this is that he played a key role in ensuring that his U-17 Spanish national team finished third at the FIFA U-17 World Cup. It was during the 2012/2013 season that Koke played alongside other notables like Arda Turan, which was the ideal season for him.
Koke was one of the indispensable players in Atletico Madrid’s senior squad this season. In this season, he played a crucial role in winning the Copa del Rey.
Koke’s consistently impressive performances continued following his achievement, and he again played a significant role on both the national and club sides. Koke helped his teammates win the 2013 Spanish U21 UEFA European Championship.
Koke’s superb passing and attacking abilities helped his Atletico Madrid team win the La Liga title just one year later in 2014. Xav: was set to retire from the Spanish squad at the time of Koke’s career peak.
An aging Xavi decided to make Koke his successor on the national team since he was the only midfielder who had created more goalscoring chances.
This was the highest praise Koke had ever received from a legend who saw him as a lookalike of his own self. Additionally, Koke received praise from his peers, including his club, which extended his contract in front of his family and loved ones.
Just like Fernando Torres, Koke will always be remembered as a legend of Athletico Madrid. As they say, the rest is history.
It is true that Koke’s endearing qualities, which include handsomeness, loyalty, hard work, and humility, will not make him a darling lover. In the beautiful person of Beatriz Espejel, a glamorous WAG stands behind the successful Spaniard.
Beatriz Espejel Jimenez was born to Felix Espejel Munoz and Beatriz Espejel Jimenez. David, her younger brother, plays football like her man. Koke probably met her because of this.
Beatriz is a teacher of English at Albany School at the time of writing. As a model, she has an outstanding reputation for modeling without makeup.
While she is Spanish, Beatriz’s ability to speak English is due to her double degree in Education and Foreign Language Teaching, which she received in 2010 from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
Beatriz Espejel and Koke Espejel were recently married in a ceremony described as emotional. According to their social media accounts, they were married in May 2018. Beatriz and Koke have remained one of the most established couples at Atletico. Their favorite summer getaway is the Spanish island and waters of Ibiza.
As seen above, Espejel is incredibly affectionate with Koke, whom she calls her “prince”. Get to know Koke’s personal life facts you might not have known. In the beginning, Koke possesses an inner state of independence, one that has allowed him to progress in his personal life.
Someone who is responsible, disciplined, has self-control and applies time and responsibility in his daily life affairs. The working-class Spanish community of Vallecas is exemplified by Koke’s parents. His family and community are made up of working-class people who are humble and have plenty of value.
Currently, Koke’s parents are reaping the benefits of instilling a tough mentality in their sons. Both sons have enjoyed great success in their careers. In a similar manner to his dedication to Atletico Madrid, Koke ensures that his parents are comfortable.
I provided my parents with everything they need, even a mansion in Madrid. My father received health care and my mother saw a physical therapist when her joints became painful. They can let me know what they need, and I always find a way to provide it.”
In an interview with El Pais, Koke said. Koke also extends such care to his grandparents, in addition to his parents. Little is known about Koke’s sisters, aside from his parents and brother. It is clear, however, that he enjoys avoiding any spotlight on them.
Getting to know Koke’s lifestyle facts would give you a better understanding of him. Firstly, Koke isn’t the type of Millionaire footballer who lives the Lavish Lifestyle easily noticeable by a couple of pretty impressive cars, booze, and pretty girls.
