Alex Pereira is a name that is familiar to many in the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) world. He’s a world-renowned MMA champion and has an impressive record of seven MMA wins and one loss, with six of his wins coming by knockout. As a kickboxer, he has a 33-7 record, making him one of the best options in the MMA and boxing picks.

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Pereira took up fighting to stay out of trouble. He had become an alcoholic at an early age and turned to kickboxing to break his addiction. Since then, he has gone on to stand out as one of the most successful MMA fighters in the world. He has fought for some of the biggest organizations in the sport.

Fighting Life

The first fight Pereira ever did professionally was in 2015 when he switched from kickboxing to MMA at Jungle Fight 8. He lost the match by submission against Quemuel Ottoni. As soon as he joined Jungle Fight, he won back-to-back matches by knockout and TKO, respectively, with Marcelo Cruz and Marcus Vinicius Silveira.

On August 10, 2018, Pereira announced that he had signed a contract with Glory Fighting Championships to compete in the Brazilian edition of Dana White’s Contender Series against Diego Henrique da Silva. However, the fight never took place, and Glory refused to allow Pereira into the fight.

Pereira signed with the Legacy Fighting Alliance on October 22, 2020, and made his debut a month later when he took on Thomas Powell. He knocked him out in the first round. On December 5, 2020, he signed a contract with the Super Fight Promotion.

Pereira signed with the UFC on September 3, 2021. His promotional debut was on November 6, 2021, at UFC 268 against Andreas Michailidis, a fighter he won by technical knockout in the second round. This win earned him the Performance of the Night award. On March 12, 2022, Pereira faced Bruno Silva in UFC Fight Night 203, in which he also won by technical knockout.

It was scheduled that Pereira would face Sean Strickland at UFC 277 on July 30, 2022, but the promotion decided to move the fight to UFC 276 on July 2, 20. The fight was pinned by Pereira throughout all three rounds, and he won by a unanimous decision.

Pereira won the fight after knocking out Strickland in the first round. As a result of the win, he was awarded both the Performance of the Night award and the Crypto. There was a $10,000 Bitcoin Fan Bonus award given to the third-place winner of the night, which was awarded for the night.

Looking to the future, Alex shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. With his undeniable talent and ever-growing popularity, there’s no doubt he will continue to be a force to be reckoned with in the world of MMA for years to come.

Pereira is the current Middleweight Champion of the world and has won multiple awards throughout his career, including “Fighter of the Year” and “Knockout of the Year.”

Pereira took on Israel Adesanya for the UFC Middleweight Championship on November 12, 2022 in UFC 281. He won following a TKO in the fifth round, earning him the title and a Performance of the Night award. The two are scheduled to return to the octagon in April 2023 for a rematch as part of the UFC 287 card.

Personal Life

Pereira is part of an indigenous tribe in Brazil. As such, not much is known about his life outside the octagon, and he likes to keep it that way. He doesn’t share much information on social media and won’t be found living it up at the clubs and bars.

However, he has admitted to being previously married. He hasn’t named his ex but has acknowledged that he has two children. Both reportedly live with him.

His rise to success is a testament to hard work and dedication, and his estimated net worth of over $3.4 million speaks volumes about his success.
