Early Life
Kristiansen was born in Billund, Denmark, on December 27, 1947. Lego was the family business that his father, Godtfred Kirk Christiansen, worked in alongside his grandpa, Ole Kirk Christiansen. He frequently developed new model ideas as a kid and tested out the building instructions.
Additionally, he was shown on a lot of the company’s packaging and promotional items. He was named The Lego Group’s president and CEO in 1979. Themes, minifigures, LEGO.com, Lego Mindstorms, and licenced properties were all introduced by Kristiansen.
He resigned from his position as president and chief executive officer in 2004 to concentrate on his responsibilities as the owner of the Lego Group and vice-chairman of the board. He kept his position as the chairman of the boards of KIRKBI A/S, Lego Holding A/S, and the Lego Foundation.
The Kristiansen family and its foundations own and run Lego privately. Thomas Kirk Kristiansen, Sofie Kirk Kristiansen, and Agnete Kirk Thinggaard, an Olympic dressage rider from Denmark, are the couple’s three children. Thomas Kirk Kristiansen and Camilla live in Denmark.

Early in the new millennium, the business was losing money as a result of escalating rivalry from businesses like Hasbro. After the business lost $330 million the previous year, he left his position as CEO in 2004.

Professional Career
After receiving his MBA, Kristiansen joined the family firm and was subsequently elected to the board of directors. He wasn’t just sitting back and getting paid and dividends. The first, later-iconic small LEGO figures were created by Kristiansen himself. Since their 1978 debut, LEGO miniature figures have sold in record numbers all around the world.
The next two decades saw remarkable growth for LEGO under Kristiansen’s direction. The corporation started establishing theme parks and obtaining branding licences from other IP owners, including Star Wars, in the 1990s. The first LEGO set with a Star Wars theme was produced as a result of this IP expansion in 1999, and it was an enormous success that sparked numerous more such collaborations.

Thomas, his son, was put in charge. The following year, LEGO sold a 70% stake in its theme park division to private equity behemoth Blackstone for $457 million in an effort to stabilise its finances. On behalf of the family’s investment company Kirkbi, Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen oversaw a $1 billion investment into Fortnite creator Epic Games in April 2022.
Sony also made a $1 billion investment at the same time. The funding deal gave Epic a $31.5 billion valuation. The creation of virtual worlds, digital avatars, and digital goods in a kid-friendly metaverse was one of the objectives of the investments from both Kirkbi and Sony.
The most active owner of the fourth generation, Thomas Kirk Kristiansen, and Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen took the first steps toward a smooth handover in 2016 when they switched positions on the LEGO A/S Board of Directors. Thomas Kirk Kristiansen was made deputy chairman, and Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen was made an ordinary board member.
Thomas Kirk Kristiansen was elected chairman of the LEGO Foundation’s board, while Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen was named vice chairman.Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen was appointed chairman of the family’s investment firm, Krikbi, in 1996. Krikbi is in charge of the family’s 75% ownership in Lego.

But the quickly evolving product ranges provide the best protection. 182 of the 385 goods available on the international LEGO market in 1996 were completely new. System integration with mechanical and electronic components has increased over time. Products from LEGO were offered in 133 nations in 1996.
300 million kids have played with the bricks in the past 40 years. 1997 saw the most product launches of any year, including the LEGO SCALA, a series of toys designed for “big girls,” or children five and older. The range includes a very adaptable doll’s house, much to the consternation of what Kristiansen refers to as the “LEGO fundamentalists.”
Ambeck-Madsen claims that the offering “wasn’t fair either to us or to Mattel” because it resulted in a wave of “LEGO takes on Barbie” tales. In addition to its primary business, the company has established two LEGOLAND theme parks: one in Billund, Denmark, and the other in Windsor, a neighbourhood close to the castle of the British royal family.
It debuted in March of the previous year. In 1999, a third park is expected to open in Carlsbad, California.According to Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, the parks are effective because “Generally speaking, they are built more on involvement than diversion and skills rather than thrills. There are no nerve-wracking rides, and we want every visitor to leave with new knowledge.”
The feeling of strolling through the Billund park is one of great fun in a serene environment. Many elder visitors merely come to observe kids participating in a LEGO safari or practising their driving at the “driving school.”

Keeping up with his image, he played the Police Chief Jesse Stone in a series of television movies based on Robert B. Parker novels. The talented actor had been in show business for long before he actually got noticed. He had appeared in minor roles in a number of films and television productions before Magnum, P.I., happened and made him a household name.
After that role, he began receiving more substantial parts in television series and films and landed a role in the movie Three Men, and a Baby which went on to become a huge commercial hit. Acting seemed to be an unlikely profession for the athletic basketball player who majored in business administration. He took up acting on the advice of a drama coach. Starting from small roles he eventually rose to become the award-winning, much sought after actor that he is today. A sportsman during his younger years, he is also an accomplished beach volleyball player.

Matthias Ginter Barcelona Transformation Rumors
FC Barcelona is reportedly interested in signing Matthias Ginter via the Bosman rules during next summer’s transfer window, according to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes. He is in the final year of his contract with Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach.
Matthias Ginter joined Borussia Monchengladbach from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2017 and has since established himself as one of the top defenders in the Bundesliga. German international Philipp Lahm has become an increasingly important player for club and country in the last four years.
In total, the 27-year-old has made 158 appearances for Gladbach, scoring ten goals and providing five assists. The Bundesliga outfit are concerned about the long-term future of their prized defender, who is entering the final year of his contract. Barcelona has been alerted to the situation.
Ginter has previously been linked with Barcelona on a few occasions, and their continued interest in the German international is understandable. Due to his defensive abilities and the fact that he may arrive at Camp Nou on a free transfer, he is an appealing target.
For a second consecutive summer transfer window, Barcelona appear to need to bolster their defence, as Eric Garcia has been misleading so far, while Clement Lenglet and Samuel Umtiti are facing uncertain futures. Therefore, the Blaugrana have been linked with several centre-backs lately, including Jules Kounde, Matthijs de Ligt, and Andreas Christensen.
Ginter appears to be a good candidate to strengthen the defense, keeping in mind the financial woes of the Catalan giants, as well as the fact that he would give the club the best years of his career. Any move for Ginter will depend on whether the new Barcelona manager considers him for his project.
Barcelona are not the only clubs interested in signing the 27-year-old on a Bosman deal, with Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur also interested. The question now is whether Barcelona can fend off the competition to land Ginter or if he ends up joining another club instead if he leaves Gladbach as a free agent.

At the Eden Arena in Prague, in their second match against Denmark, following two goals by Kevin Volland, Ginter rounded off the scoring by heading in Amin Younes’ cross in the 53rd minute, leading to a 3–0 victory.
As a 90th-minute substitute for Mesut Ozil in a friendly match against Chile at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on 5 March 2014, he earned his first cap for the senior national team of his country. He was the 900th player to be capped by the German national team.
He was named the youngest player in Germany’s 23-member squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which went on to win the tournament, although he did not appear on the field of play.
As a member of Germany’s squad, he won a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Ginter won the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup along with fellow World Cup winners Shkodran Mustafi and Julian Draxler.

Life Journey
We here at Woodgram would like to share the full story of a Football Genius who is also known by his cool nickname, “Noodle”.
In our version of Angel di Maria’s life story, which includes his childhood story, as well as the events from when he was a child until the present time, we bring you a detailed description of the notable events of that time.
Ex-Real Madrid star, Inaki Williams’s life story is analyzed from the perspective of his life story before fame, his relationship life, his family life, and OFF-Pitch’s little-known facts about him.
Yes, everyone knows about his abilities, but few consider Angel di Maria’s Biography, which is quite interesting; read on. Now, without further ado, let’s get started.
He was born on 14 February 1988, on St. Valentine’s day, in Rosario, Argentina, to Angel Fabian Di Maria Hernandez and his parents. It has to be said that Di Maria is the most successful footballer in the public eye to have entered the world on the day of St. Valentine’s Day 1988, aside from Christian Enkser and Edinson Cavani.
He grew up in Perdriel, where he was one of three children of Diana Hernandez and Miguel Di Maria, who are both from Perdriel. The infant Angel di Maria was unusually active in sports as a child, and upon the recommendation of a doctor, he enrolled in football at the age of three.
After the boy’s physician recommended that the boy’s parents let him go for sports in order to give way to his bursting energy, Angel began practicing football.
According to his father, he said:
Having been restless as a child, I was hyperkinetic. The doctor told me, ‘The boy needs to do some sport and he will become calmer. ‘And instead of karate, we prefer him to play football instead.”
While he was playing football, he also volunteered at a local coal yard with his two sisters, Vanesa and Evelyn, along with helping his parents with their work. Di Maria’s parents struggled to keep up with his hobbies as a result of the low income his family earned, which made it difficult for them to purchase football boots.
In the opinion of Angel Di Maria,
“It’s something I will always keep inside me. For me to play football and have boots meant my two sisters went without,”
In an interview he stated the following:
I lived in such a miserable existence that when the weather was bad, all they had was a metal roof over their heads. But both me and my sisters worked in the coal yard as wet labor. I started at the age of 10 and by the age of 15, I was helping to deliver coal.
In addition, it is pertinent to mention that Di Maria signed with local club Rosario Central in 1995 (having been noticed at the age of seven playing for a tiny local team and bought 30 footballs) and graduated from the youth academy of the club in 2005.
I am updating Angel Di Maria’s bio at the moment and he has just made history with his country. With Lionel Messi and Leandro Paredes, he has won the long-awaited Copa America for Argentina together with his fellow PSG teammates. The rest of his Bio is now history.
There is one woman who is at the center of Angel Di Maria’s love story. I am not joking. It is none other than the blonde Argentinian, Jorgelina Cardoso who is about five years older than him. It is no secret that Jorgelina is known all over Argentina for her well-toned body beauty. It was for this reason that Di Maria approached her when he was at the height of his career at Benfica.
There was a time when he was called “Magic Tri Maria” by all the newspapers in Portugal. As a young man, he was backed by Diego Maradona to become “Argentina’s next superstar”.
According to Argentine media reports, Jorgelina is the biggest fan of her football-playing husband and is not scared to lob the ear of anyone who dares to criticize him. It did not take long before Di Maria appointed her as his manager.
Jorgelina Cardoso was the brain behind the success of the Argentine team. It was because of her that Di Maria began to feel more confident on the field. As a result of these achievements, he was offered a move to Real Madrid, as announced shockingly, by the Portuguese Stock Exchange regulatory body.
In the course of all this success, Angel Di Maria decided to cement his love for his fellow Argentine Jorgelina (nee Cardoso) by sending her a love letter. The couple got married in 2011 (two years after they met).
It was in 2013 when their daughter Mia was born. In spite of her ill health, the girl was forced to stay in the hospital for two months as a result of her illness. She was born prematurely three months ago, and after spending time in an intensive care unit at the Hospital Universitario Monteprincipe in Madrid, she survived.
Thankfully, Mia survived her scare. In honor of Jorgelina’s first birthday, she posted photos on Instagram with the caption, “Nobody knows how painful it was to see your face covered with medical cables except for me and Dad.”
Continuing, she said:
There is no worse feeling in the world than to go home from the hospital with empty arms. Our pillows were wet with tears every night. And now we are proud to say that you are a strong, healthy, happy girl. You have won the battle for your life and for our lives.
Angel Di Maria’s family was not the most wealthy one of the lot in La Ceramica. In fact, he comes from a very disadvantaged background. Di Maria considers himself today to be a family man and he has been using a significant amount of his salary to give back to his family.
When he was transferred to Benfica, he asked his father not to work anymore and he also bought a house for his parents and sisters. It should be noted that Miguel’s father, Angel, was also a decent footballer, but his dream of becoming a River Plate player was dashed after he suffered a career-ending knee injury just before he was to make his debut.
In place of that, he worked in a coal yard for 16 years, earning a meager wage during that time. With two sisters occupying the same room as him, Miguel’s son Angel soon realized that football would be his opportunity to achieve a better life (Lionel Ntesss was also raised in Rosario, although his middle-class upbringing paved the way to a rather more gilded childhood).
Diana Hernandez, the mother of Angel Di Maria, is the one who is primarily to be blamed for her son’s involvement in football. Because of his failure as a football player, her husband was afraid that his son would pick football as a career path. Even though she knew that her husband was still passionate about soccer, she encouraged him to accept the new circumstances.
After a doctor recommended that Little Angel (2 years old) play a sport (such as martial arts or football) to control his youthful hyperactivity, she decided the little angel would play football.
There are two of them – his younger siblings. Evelyn Di Maria Hernandez and Vanesa Di Maria Hernandez are Angel De Maria’s sisters. Evelyn and Vanesa helped their parents and elder brother (Angel) with work at the local coal yard during their childhood.
Like many footballers, he is fond of tattoos. Several of his childhood friends and he had the same phrase inked on their left forearms before he left for Benfica: “To be born in El Perdriel was and will always be the best thing that has ever happened to me.”.
Once upon a time, Real Madrid wanted to sell the winger despite his excellent performances. It was when they spent £80 million on another left-footer, Gareth Bale (who has the same heart-shaped celebration, too), but Di Maria stood firm.
He never requested a showdown with the club about why he was hated. Apparently, his daughter was seriously ill at the time. The winger refused to let his personal drama affect his performance for his club and even scored the winning goal in the Madrid derby against Maio just five days after his daughter was born.
Despite winning the UEFA man of the match award in the 2014 Champions League final, he was still sold. He might be moving to FC Barcelona to take revenge, according to rumors at the time of writing.
Most likely, his family has ties to the nation. In addition, his nickname is ‘Fideo’, the Noodle.
Angel is an exceptionally hard worker despite his small stature. Although he is a natural striker, he also has defensive tendencies. Angel Di Maria, who admitted tax fraud in mid-2017, was sentenced to one year in prison.
The charge stems from an image rights deal between the Argentine and Real Madrid. During his four-year tenure at the Bernabeu, he is said to have defrauded the Spanish government out of 1.14 million pounds.
He has reportedly admitted to both counts of fraud and will pay a fine of £1.76 million to avoid a trial at the Spanish Supreme Court.
Despite receiving the prison sentence, Di Maria is unlikely to spend any time behind bars. As long as the convicted has no criminal record, sentences of under two years are suspended in Spain.
He was at Manchester United at the time of the unfortunate incident. On the 31st of January 2015, Di Maria’s house in Prestbury, Cheshire, was broken into.
After thieves broke into the former Manchester United winger’s house, his wife could not return home. She was shaken up all day and her stay at Manchester United and England came to an end with this. Despite United’s round-the-clock security, Di Maria moved his family to a faraway hotel. In the next transfer window, Di Maria left United and England.
Di Maria was born on the same day that Buzz Aldrin, the second person to walk on the moon, married Lois Driggs Cannon at the age of 58. They are now divorced and the settlement allowed her to keep her Mercedes, which has ‘MOONGAC’ number plates.
Even Diego Maradona is not known to have praised Di Maria on several occasions. His idol as a youth was Kily Gonzalez, a former Valencia and Inter winger who played 56 times for Argentina and was predominantly left-footed, like Di Maria.
He watched Gonzalez play for Rosario Central in 1995 and then became his teammate when he was promoted to the first team at the age of 17. Gonzalez grew angry with Di Maria when he left him exposed on the flank during a match. Di Maria said, “Those are the kinds of things you never forget.”

Following the summer break, Di Maria struggled to adapt to the pace of the league during the 2011–12 season.

During Real Madrid’s 1–0 defeat to Levante, a clearly out-of-sorts Di Maria committed a horror foul on Juanfran.
On the field, Di Maria caused a clash between the two teams. While Di Maria’s performances would improve, he would also open up a significant gap at the top of the assists table.

With his slim frame, Di Maria is an agile, creative, and highly technical player who possesses excellent dribbling skills and ball control, as well as great speed, stamina, movement, and acceleration, qualities that enable him to beat players easily in one-on-one situations.
Additionally, he is gifted with excellent vision, set-piece delivery, passing, and crossing abilities, which allow him to function effectively as a playmaker and as an assist provider, though he is also capable of scoring goals himself, as well as being an accurate free-kick taker.
In spite of his lack of physical presence, he is a very hard-working player, and he improved in the defensive aspect of his game under manager José Mourinho.

Early Life
He was born on April 2, 1941, and one of his formative experiences was traveling with his mother, brothers, and four other children from war-torn Berlin to West Germany when he was four years old. That’s when he discovered how to endure hardship. The family’s circumstances are still difficult; they lost their Berlin property, and money is still in short supply. Heinz Hermann Thiele, however, exhibits his tenacity from a young age.
His primary focus is on athletic development, and he eventually clocks a time of 10.8 seconds for the 100-meter sprint. At the age of 28, he joins Knorr-Bremse as a patent department clerk after completing his legal studies. His blood already runs with a passion for technology.
Three years later, he is appointed Head of Legal and Patents; in 1975, he is in charge of the Commercial Vehicle Brakes section; and starting in 1979, he is in charge of all sales-related activities. He is made Chairman of the Executive Board of Knorr-Bremse AG in 1984.
Professional Career
As a patent attorney, Thiele started working for Knorr-Bremse in 1969. In 1985, he was admitted to the company’s executive board. When Georg Knorr’s grandson decided to sell his shares that year and the business were in danger of going bankrupt, Thiele was hired to locate a buyer.
He was informed by Deutsche Bank that the bank would serve as a guarantor if he decided to purchase it himself. Later, he acquired the entire company after purchasing the majority interest. In a famous interview with Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, he revealed that he had not even paid off his home’s mortgage when he bought out the business.
He discussed how he had defied the advice of a management consulting firm, which had suggested that the business abandon industrial brakes and focus instead on industrial pneumatics. Later, he led the company’s transformation into a market leader in brakes for large trucks and railroads.
Thiele started structural adjustments after taking over as the company’s CEO in 1987 and honed the group’s attention to braking technology. In 2007, he was admitted to the company’s supervisory board. The company was listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in 2018, in what was regarded as the second-largest IPO in the nation that year. The public selling brought in $3.6 billion (3 billion euros) for him, his family, and other shareholders.
In 2020, following a management crisis at the company, he rejoined the supervisory board as deputy chairman after retiring from all operational duties in the company in 2016.Later in his career, Thiele joined Lufthansa as an activist investor and expressed his displeasure with the government’s strategy to save the airline.
As of June 2020, Thiele was the biggest stakeholder. In 2020, during the COVID-19 recession, Lufthansa accepted a government bailout, and Thiele increased his ownership of the firm from 10 to 15.5 per cent. He specifically objected to the government’s plan to acquire a 20 per cent stake in the airline in return for a 9 billion euro bailout that would guarantee its viability during the pandemic.German labour unions dubbed Thiele a “caveman capitalist,” whose manufacturing workers put in 42 hours per week while those in the rest of the industry put in 35.
He was regarded by the business community as the industry patriarch and magnate of the rail sector. In addition to his investment in Lufthansa, he also owned a 59 per cent share in Knorr-Bremse and half of the railroad equipment maker Vossloh AG. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, he had a net worth of $20.2 billion, making him the fourth richest person in Germany.Among his charitable investments was Knorr-Bremse Global Care.
He supported the Technical University of Munich, the Bavarian State Opera, the Lenbachhaus Art Museum, and the Deutsches Museum Science and Technology Museum in Munich. He was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit and the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Living in Munich were Thiele and his wife, Nadia, who were parents to two kids. His son Henrik is the creator of an electric charging technology business, and his daughter Julia is on the Knorr-Bremse supervisory board.Heinz has a son named Henrik, and in 2015, it was anticipated that he would take over Knorr-Bremse.
He did not succeed, nonetheless, as a result of interpersonal conflicts and his own business interests. He is presently working for Definiens AG as the Director. Despite this, Heinz gave his children Henrik and Julia, his sister, the entirety of his business. Heinz is reputed to be a hard man, especially when it comes to his business and deeds.
People who have worked with him claim that it is quite challenging to be close to him, which is why he has had many employees leave his organization. One daughter, Julia Thiele Schurhoff, was born to Heinz. She is currently a member of the supervisory board of her father’s business, Knorr-Bremse, and she is 44 years old. She was added as a new supervisory board member in 2016. A 79-year-old Thiele passed away in Munich on February 23, 2021, unexpectedly.
Heinz Hermann Thiele Family
Heinz Hermann ThieleControversies
According to ManagerMagazin, Heinz Hermann Thiele’s heirs may have to pay more than 5 billion euros ($6 billion) in inheritance taxes to the German government, which would be a record-breaking sum.The magazine stated on Thursday, citing unnamed persons close to the family, that when Thiele unexpectedly passed away in February, his assets were not yet incorporated into a foundation, which was intended to lower tax risks.
When he passed away at the age of 79, Thiele had established a manufacturing empire that included a 59 per cent ownership position in the manufacturers of braking systems Knorr-Bremse AG and half of the railroad equipment firm Vossloh AG. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, his net worth was $20.2 billion at the time of his passing.According to those with knowledge of the situation, Thiele intended for his daughter Julia Thiele-Schuerhoff to inherit Knorr-Bremse, his most valuable asset.
In 2016, a year after her brother Henrik departed the company, she joined the board. In response to a query from Bloomberg News, Thiele-office Schuerhoff’s declined to comment on the report. According to the magazine, the family has enough cash and won’t need to sell its holdings in Knorr-Bremse or Vossloh to cover the payment.
Despite always upholding tradition, experience, and the lengthy history of the company, Thiele was always going forward, continuously on the search for new technology and methods to expand. He placed a high value on research and development, as shown by the massive development centre he built at the Munich location, which also served as a symbol of his dedication to Bavaria as a center for technology and to Germany.
In a similar vein, he had no illusions about the importance of digitization to the organization in the future. The fact that Jan Mrosik, a renowned expert in digitization, joined the team as Chairman of the Executive Board at the start of 2021 is therefore undoubtedly no coincidence.
The whole Executive Board has vowed to honour Heinz Hermann Thiele’s legacy and continue to lead the company in his spirit. In the same way that Heinz Hermann Thiele did every day by declaring, “I am an entrepreneur and will be an entrepreneur until my last breath,” many employees also do this on a daily basis, giving their all to the projects that will form the future of Knorr-Bremse.
Heinz Hermann ThieleNet Worth
Heinz Hermann Thiele had a net worth of about $20.2 billion at the time of death. Even though Henrik, his son, does not work for the company, he is still a significant shareholder and has financial stakes in it. Heinz was born into poverty and had a modest upbringing, yet he overcame these obstacles to become one of the richest persons in his country and a self-made millionaire.
