Daniel Craig is an English actor, famously recognized for performing ‘James Bond’ in the eponymous movie series. Apart from his great looks, developed by his blonde hair, blue eyes, and svelte hot body, Daniel Craig is also a skillful actor. Although he was once rebuffed as the next s*x symbol, he struggled hard to show his critics wrong by repairing his image instead of banking on the newly found status and publicity. He turned to do serious characters that gave him an opportunity to hone his skills. It was during these toiling hard days that Craig became a rising star.

He produced hit films, such as ‘Love is the Devil,’ ‘Elizabeth,’ ‘The Trench,’ ‘Road to Perdition,’ and so on. While these movies got his career graph on the ascending track, it was his role as the greatest fictional spy ‘James Bond 007’ that changed his luck forever. He reached the zenith of success with ‘Bond’ films like ‘Casino Royale,’ ‘Quantum of Solace,’ ‘Skyfall,’ and ‘Spectre.’

Craig is of English, Welsh, and distant French Huguenot ancestry. He adds Huguenot minister Daniel Chamier among his predecessors alongside Sir William Burnaby, 1st Baronet. His middle name, Wroughton, proceeds from his great-great-grandmother, Grace Matilda Wroughton.

Craig was built originally on the Wirral Peninsula and attended primary school in Frodsham and Hoylake, Merseyside. After losing his eleven-plus exam, he later joined Hilbre High School in West Kirby, Merseyside, along with his elder sister Lea (born 1965).

When his parents divorced, Craig and his sister resided with their mother and moved to Liverpool. Upon completing his compulsory secondary school education at the age of 16, he quickly followed Calday Grange Grammar School as a sixth form student.

He played rugby union for Hoylake RFC. He started acting in school plays at the age of six and was introduced to serious acting by joining Liverpool’s Everyman Theatre with his mother. At the age of 16, he was admitted into the National Youth Theatre, he left school and went to London, where he worked part-time in restaurants to finance his training.

Later, after multiple tries at auditioning for drama schools, he was affirmed at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating in 1991 after three years of study under Colin McCormack.

In 1992, Craig married actress Fiona Loudon; they had a daughter named Ella before divorcing in 1994. He later began a relationship with German actress Heike Makatsch, which lasted for seven years before ending in 2004. He consequently dated and was engaged to film producer Satsuki Mitchell from 2005 until 2010.

Craig and actress Rachel Weisz had been friends for several years and worked together on the 2011 film Dream House. They began dating in December 2010.

They were married in a private ceremony in New York City on 22 June 2011 with only four guests in attendance, including Craig’s daughter and Weisz’s son. It was reported on 1 September 2018 that their first child together, a daughter, had been born.
