Shikabala, also known as Mahmoud Abdelrazek Hassan Fadlala (born 5 March 1986), is an Egyptian professional footballer who competes for Zamalek in the Egyptian Premier League and the Egypt national team. Supporters of Zamalek refer to Shikabala as “El Apache.”
He represented the Egyptian club for many years and is regarded as one of the club’s legends after rising through the youth ranks of Zamalek. He formerly worked for Sporting CP and PAOK. He mostly plays as a right winger, although he is also capable of playing as a left winger and as a center-attacking midfielder.
When he was 8 years old, Shikabala enrolled in Zamalek SC’s youth program. He made his debut for the squad in a cup game at the beginning of 2002, and at the age of 16, he scored the game-winning goal. Since then, he has stayed with the first team squad, although due to his little playing time and lack of a professional contract, he was free to leave Zamalek and join PAOK FC for no transfer fee in January 2005.
He spent one rather successful season with PAOK, but despite the Greek club’s persistent insistence that Shikabla stay there till the conclusion of his contract in 2009, he later returned to Zamalek for the 2006–07 campaign in order to complete army obligations in Egypt.
Shikabala first arrived in Egypt from Greece in January 2007 amid controversy after joining sworn enemies Al Ahly. Shikabala subsequently claimed, “I wanted to go back to Zamalek, but at this time they had numerous administrative issues and they refused to sign me. Shikabala was persuaded to join Zamalek by teammate Gamal Hamza and Zamalek chairman Mamdouh Abbas after the greatest transfer got viral.
Zamalek scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory in his second club appearance, giving Shikabala an incredible start. Shika rapidly established himself as a starter for Henri Michel, ultimately taking the position of club icon and fan favorite Hazem Emam.
Shikabala had already established himself as the ultimate fan favorite for the Zamalek supporters’ curva sud section at the start of the 2007–08 season. Before each game, the crowd would yell his name and sing songs just for him.
He had a difficult season in which Zamalek struggled in the league, and he was subject to a lengthy suspension when Al Ahly supporters yelled obscenities at him in the 100th Cairo derby, to which he responded by elevating his shoes in their direction. He did end the year on a more positive note, as Zamalek won the cup, the team’s first trophy in four years, and concluded the year as champions.
Shikabala missed the start of the 2008–09 campaign because FIFA had suspended him for making an unauthorized transfer to Zamalek. He returned in good form in late November, but Zamalek once again had a disappointing season and placed sixth in the league.
The next season was the same until Zamalek hired Hossam Hassan in December 2009, who gradually brought the team out of obscurity and into a position where they could routinely contend for championships.
Shikabala eventually reached his playing potential and began to develop under Hassan’s tutelage. Prior to that, he was highly erratic, drifted in and out of games, and occasionally was totally ineffectual despite scoring amazing goals and doing intricate dribbles.
Since rejoining the squad in 2007, Shikabala has become a favorite of the Zamalek supporters and the team’s standout player. The management turned down multiple bids for him, most notably from Anderlecht, and made him the highest-paid player in Egypt’s history while the fans adore him.
Although the squad is centered around Shikabala, who is renowned for his abilities, the fans adore him. But his most recent display of disrespect was when, after being replaced, he got into a fight with club legend and former coach Hassan Shehata. Shehata made the decision to remove him from the squad and requested that he be sold right now.
On January 29, 2014, it was revealed that Shikabala had agreed to a 700,000 dollar contract with Sporting CP in Portugal and will go there the following day to have a physical and sign an official contract.
There were several issues with the negotiations between Shikabala, Sporting, and Zamalek in the final hours of the January transfer window, but with only three minutes left, they came to an agreement on a deal for 700,000 US dollars plus 5% of any future sales should Sporting decide to sell Shikabala to another club. Shikabala made the choice to don the Sporting jersey with the number 7.
On February 16, 2014, against Tondela, Shikabala made his debut for the reserve squad. After suffering a slight ankle injury, he was replaced 28 minutes into the game after having begun the game.
Shikabala played relatively little for the squad, only making a few appearances for the reserve team and one for the first team, and was benched for most of the next season.
His goal against Azores XI during the Pedro Pauleta Trophy, which gave Sporting CP a 2-1 victory and set a new record for live viewers on the team’s website, was his most significant contribution.
On June 3, 2007, Shikabala made his debut for his country against Mauritania in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. Shikabala has made multiple appearances for the national team throughout significant moments in modern Egyptian history, although never had a significant role. He participated in one game while representing Egypt at the 2010 African Cup of Nations, where they won for the seventh time overall and third time in a row.
In 2010, he made the decision to leave the international football scene, citing the racial taunts he had received from Al Ahly supporters during the Cairo derby and declaring that he did not want to deal with such circumstances in international matches.
However, on August 8, 2012, manager Bob Bradley called him up for friendlies against Benin and Cameroon.
Shikabala missed three years of Egypt’s national team action after being part of the team during the 2014 African Nations Championship qualification run. On November 12, 2017, he was reintegrated into the team, and in Egypt’s last World Cup qualifying match against Ghana, he scored his first competitive goal. He was included in Egypt’s final 23-man roster for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia in June of that year.

Kasper Peter Schmeichel famously known as Kasper Schmeichel is a Danish professional football goalkeeper who plays for Premier League club Leicester City and the Danish national team. Schmeichel is the son of former Manchester United and Danish international goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel. Prior to making his debut for Manchester City, Schmeichel spent time on loan with Darlington, Bury, and Falkirk. Schmeichel appeared to have made the City number one jersey his own at the start of the 2007–08 season, but Joe Hart’s emergence led to Schmeichel being loaned to Cardiff City.
Schmeichel fell even further down the pecking order at City after signing Republic of Ireland international Shay Given in January 2009, and in August 2009, he joined former manager Sven-Göran Eriksson at Notts County. He spent just one season with the Magpies, despite it being a very successful one for both the club and the player himself, due to changes in the club’s financial position which led to his departure.
Leeds United signed him in May 2010, but again his tenure at the club would only last one season before he was transferred to Leicester City, where he would work again under Eriksson. In addition to winning the Championship in the 2013–14 season, the Premier League in 2015–16, and the FA Cup in 2020–21, Schmeichel has played over 400 competitive matches for Leicester. During his time with the Danish national under-21 team, Schmeichel played 17 games. Having been called up to the Danish national team for the first time against Iceland on 13 May 2011, he was part of their squad at UEFA Euro 2012 but did not make his senior debut until 2013. His country was represented at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Euro 2020.

Woodgram’s Kasper Schmeichel Biography tells you details about his Childhood, Early Life, Parents, Wife (Stine Gyldenbrand), Child, Lifestyle, Net Worth, and Personal Life. In a nutshell, we tell the story of a Leicester-inspired goalkeeping legend known as “The Big Dane”.
We begin with his early days when he became famous. The following is a pictorial summary of Kasper Schmeichel’s life to give you a sense of the engaging nature of his life.
He is the son of former Manchester United and Danish international legend Peter Schmeichel. Only a few people consider Kasper Schmeichel’s biography, which is quite interesting. Without further ado, let’s get started.
In the city of Copenhagen, Denmark, Kasper Peter Schmeichel was born on the 5th day of the 5th month of 1986 to his mother Bente Schmeichel (a housekeeper) and father Peter Peter Schmeichel (the Legendary Goalkeeper).
Through his grandfather (a Danish musician), Kasper has Polish roots, not Danish, as many football fans are used to. He’s related to Tolek Schmeichel, an immigrant to Denmark who went by the name Schmeichel in the 1960s. Kasper’s grandfather (Tolek) was a war child whose father (Kasper’s great-grandfather) was killed as a Polish soldier during World War II.
Kasper Schmeichel’s great-granddad was a soldier, so the Schmeichel family has military roots. Upon leaving Poland, Tolek (Kasper’s Granddad) moved to Denmark with his wife and raised their legendary son Peter Schmeichel. Peter Schmeichel took advantage of this raw mental strength of military family roots and a strong physique to make a name for himself in football, then passed it on to his beloved son Kasper.
He became a father for the first time when his wife Bente gave birth to Kasper at the age of 22. Observe below that Little Kasper lived an affluent life because his dad was famous. He was the kind of kid whose parents could afford the latest toys. Cecilie Schmeichel was Kasper’s younger sister who accompanied him when he was growing up.
On a beautiful summer evening in 1991, Kasper’s dad, Peter Schmeichel, was celebrating his fifth Danish league title with his club (Brondby IF). He decided to have a little party, inviting his guest of which most were club fans.
When the invited guests made their way into the party, a 4-year-old Kasper Schmeichel stood in front of the door and declared, “You all can’t come in here!” “Yes, we’re allowed in, your dad invited us.”
Kasper’s co-fans ushered him back to his mother as one of them replied, allowing his co-fans into the house. Peter Schmeichel continued his successful career with Manchester United a few weeks later.
In some 25 years’ time, Kasper is still standing in the way of visitors, but this time, it is all kinds of football opponents aiming to place the ball behind him. Let me tell you a little about how the journey began.
Peter Kasper’s dad was voted the IFFHS World’s Best Goalkeeper in 1992 & 1993, when he was 7 & 8. Having a father who was not only the best goalkeeper in the world but also spearheaded a series of titles with Manchester United, it was easy for Kasper to follow in his father’s footsteps.
He spent most of his childhood enjoying his father’s career success. Since his father was a professional football player, he began school in England. Hulme Hall Grammar School is located in Greater Manchester, where Kasper attended elementary school.
Even as he read his books, he was devoted to sports. In his off-school days, Kaper played goalkeeping football with his friends, including Alex Bruce, the son of Kasper’s father’s former Manchester United teammate Steve Bruce.
The majority of kid footballers begin their careers by joining a football academy, but Kasper was taught by his father. The Manchester United management allowed Kasper to follow his legendary father to training.
Growing up, he enjoyed watching Manchester United legends train behind the goalposts. In addition to sprinting to fetch wayward shots that missed the goal, Kasper attended every single game at Old Trafford.
After leading Manchester United to the 1999 Treble, Kasper Schmeichel’s dad ended his career on a high note.
After the age of 36, Peter sought out a slower pace of football in Portugal (Sporting CP), a move that resulted in the entire Schmeichel family leaving England for Portugal. While Kasper was living with his parents in Portugal in the year 2000, he enrolled in the Estoril football academy known as Grupo Desportivo Estoril. Following in his dad’s footsteps, Kasper continued to study at the academy.
Throughout the year 1999 to 2001, he received extra lessons from his dad at Sporting CP after training sessions. Kasper Schmeichel learned a lot from his dad during hrs early career days.
The Schmeichel family felt it was time to leave Portugal after staying there for two years. Once again, Kasper decided to leave the club, following his dad back to England where he joined Aston Villa. Kasper joined Man city and after some months, he reunited with his father, this time at the same club. Kasper joined Man city and after some months, he reunited with his father, this time at the same club.
Kasper could not easily fill in his dad’s shoes after he retired from football and City in 2003, as he had not yet graduated with the academy. Instead of waiting, City bought David James, who filled Schmeichel’s vacancy.
Kasper had assumed he would have an easy transition into senior football after graduating from youth football, but things weren’t going as planned. The spot for a senior goalkeeper was filled at the time by Joe Hart, who was on a steady rise and deemed irreplaceable. That left poor Kasper frustrated.
With so much success over the years, it was hard for the Schmeichel family to see their own falling down the pecking order at Eastlands. Kasper Schmeichel went through various snakes and ladders in order to become a first-team goalkeeper.
After going on loan from 2006 to 2009, he started his senior career quickly with Bury, Falkirk, Notts County, and Leeds. Finally, Kasper was rescued. He wasn’t his super father, but Notts County boss, Sven-Goran Eriksson, who helped him land a first-team goalkeeping role with Leicester. On the 27th of June 2011, he confirmed Kasper as his oalkee er lo alist.
Behind the successful goalkeeper in Peter, there was a son in Kasper. And in the heart of Kasper, there came LOVE from a glamorous girl who once rolled her eyes before becoming a girlfriend in the year 2004. Despite being nearly 2 years older than Kasper, Stine Gyldenbrand is a Danish lady born in 1985.
Her stardom began when she began dating Kasper during the last year of his youth career in 2004 when Kasper was only 17 years old. Stine Gyldenbrand had just enrolled at the University of Chester to study for a degree in midwifery when they met.
In 2009, she began working at a hospital near Birmingham, and a year later (2010), they welcomed their first child, a son named Max Schmeichel. The couple welcomed their second child, Isabella Schmeichel, in 2012.

With a market value of around $4.40 million, the veteran goalkeeper is currently 36 years old.
Schmeichel joined Manchester City in September 2002 on a long-term contract, which included schoolboy, scholar, and professional terms.
After joining League Two side Darlington on a loan deal in January 2006, he made his professional debut against Peterborough United at the Darlington Arena on 14 January 2006.
Darlington won the game 2–1. Schmeichel conceded a goal to Peterborough striker James Quinn. Three days later, he kept a clean sheet against Grimsby Town. He made two more appearances before returning to Manchester City.
In February, he was loaned out again, this time to Bury, where he made 15 appearances during a three-month loan spell. In the following season, he returned to Bury for three months.
From January 2007 until the end of the 2006–07 season, Schmeichel was on loan at Falkirk of the Scottish Premier League.
On 18 February 2007, he was named man of the match against Rangers. In a 1–0 victory over Celtic on 18 March 2007, he also saved a penalty from Craig Beattie. In May, he revealed he would have liked his loan at Falkirk extended, and the club expressed interest in signing him.
In August 2007, Schmeichel made his debut for Manchester City against West Ham United. Against City’s rivals and boyhood team Manchester United on 19 August 2007, he kept a clean sheet in City’s 1–0 home win.
On 25 August 2007 at the Emirates Stadium, Schmeichel saved a penalty from Arsenal’s Robin van Persie. He was named man of the match despite City losing 1–0 to Arsenal.
In his first seven appearances for Manchester City in the 2007–08 Premier League, he kept clean sheets against Manchester United, West Ham, Aston Villa, and Derby County, conceding only five goals.
In September 2007, he signed a new four-year contract with City. On 25 October 2007, he agreed to a one-month loan with Championship side Cardiff City.
On 27 October 2007, he made his Cardiff debut in a 1-1 draw with Scunthorpe United. In 2007, he was named Danish Under-21 Talent of the Year.
In the latter stages of Schmeichel’s loan spell, he requested that he be allowed to stay on at Cardiff for a longer period. On 22 November, the loan period was extended until the new year, with Sven-Göran Eriksson stating that Schmeichel may stay with Cardiff for the rest of the season if Manchester City does not suffer an injury crisis.
Despite Joe Hart being named Manchester City’s number one goalkeeper by Eriksson, Andreas Isaksson requested a transfer. As a result, Eriksson would not allow Cardiff to keep Schmeichel after his initial loan period ended on 2 January.
By opening talks for Schmeichel to stay at Ninian Park on 31 December, Eriksson gave Cardiff a lifeline. If Isaksson did not move until late in the January transfer window, Schmeichel could remain for two more matches.
Schmeichel had expressed a desire to play for Cardiff again in the future. Despite this, Schmeichel returned to Eastlands the day after his loan expired.
He joined Coventry City on loan until the end of the season on 13 March. Towards the end of the season, his father, Peter Schmeichel, commented during a TV interview that his son was not happy at Manchester City and was set to leave following the end of the season.
Schmeichel returned to the City of Manchester Stadium following the season and changed to the number 16 shirt. The player has repeatedly stated that he regrets signing a four-year contract with City.
Schmeichel came on as a substitute for Joe Hart in the 14th minute of the game on 16 November. As a result, Hull City and the city finished 2–2. At the end of December 2008, Schmeichel played his final match for Manchester City in a UEFA Cup match against Racing de Santander.
Schmeichel signed for League Two side Notts County in a deal that broke the club’s previous transfer record on 14 August 2009.
Schmeichel was reunited with former Manchester City manager Sven-Göran Eriksson, who was recently appointed director of football at Notts County.
With an annual salary of $1 million, he was the highest-paid player at the club. After making his debut on 22 August, he kept a clean sheet in the side’s 3–0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge.
Schmeichel almost scored with an overhead kick against Morecambe in September 2009 when he came up from a corner.
Schmeichel won the Player of the Month award for his outstanding performance in October. As a result of Schmeichel’s stay at The Magpies, the club conceded only 0.67 goals per League 2 match (29 goals conceded in 43 league appearances).
At Notts County, Schmeichel’s clean-sheets-to-games ratio was an impressive 55.8 percent (24 out of 43 league appearances).
Schmeichel and Notts County won the 2009–10 League Two title and were promoted to League One with a 5–0 win over already-relegated Darlington on 27 April. Despite having four years left on his contract, Notts County announced they would release Schmeichel after the season.
A reason for this was financial: Schmeichel earned a reported £15,000 per week during the brief ownership period of high-spending Munto Finance in summer 2009. In exchange for forgoing all future wages, Schmeichel made “a huge concession by such a young man,” said Ray Trew.
Having been linked with both Premier League and Bundesliga clubs, Schmeichel signed a two-year contract with Leeds United on 27 May 2010, joining the club on 1 July 2010.
During the 2010-11 season, Schmeichel was given the number one shirt at Leeds and was selected as Leeds’ first-choice goalkeeper for the following season, ahead of Shane Higgs.
In Leeds’ opening Football League Championship game on Saturday 7 August 2010, he made his debut for the club.
Despite Leeds losing 2–1, Schmeichel made several crucial saves throughout the match.
With a string of impressive performances for Leeds, Schmeichel was nominated for the August Championship Player of the Month award but lost out to Queens Park Rangers winger Adel Taarabt. However, Schmeichel did win the Sky Sports Championship Player of the Month award for August.
Schmeichel did, however, win the Sky Sports Championship Player of the Month award for August.
He missed Leeds’ match against Swansea City and was ruled out of the team’s next few games after picking up a tendon injury in his foot. As one of the guests on Soccer AM while out injured, Schmeichel appeared on the program.
Schmeichel returned to the Leeds starting line-up against Cardiff City just over two months after his last appearance. As a result of the birth of his first child the night before, he missed his match against Coventry City on 6 November.
Schmeichel helped Leeds earn a 1-1 draw against Arsenal in the FA Cup Third Round match at the Emirates Stadium on 8 January 2011.
Arsenal captain Cesc Fàbregas commented following the match that Schmeichel should have received the match ball for his performance. In the replay, Leeds lost 3–1, but Schmeichel produced another impressive performance (nearly scoring himself via a header) and was named player of the FA Cup Third Round.
Leicester City announced on 27 June 2011 that they had made an undisclosed bid for him. Schmeichel wanted to stay at Leeds until the end of his contract, so the decision to sell him was a shock to him.
He said, however, that moving to Leeds was the wrong move for him, especially since he felt unwelcome at the club because of his father’s past.
Schmeichel signed a three-year deal with Leicester City on 27 June 2011 for an undisclosed fee, reuniting him for a second time with his former Manchester City and Notts County manager, Sven-Göran Eriksson.
On 20 August 2011, Schmeichel received two yellow cards for “unsporting conduct” and was shown a red card in the 79th minute of Leicester’s away game against Nottingham Forest.
After the spot-kick was successful, he received his second card for throwing the ball away after moving the ball from the penalty spot as Forest’s Lewis McGugan was about to take a kick.
Schmeichel apologized after the match, saying he did not notice he had received the first yellow card because his back was turned to the referee. “I didn’t know I had been booked because I had my back to the ref, otherwise I wouldn’t have done that,” he said on Twitter.
Despite this, Schmeichel’s performances for Leicester quickly began earning him plaudits, with his then manager Sven-Göran Eriksson comparing him with England’s number 1 goalkeeper Joe Hart, and teammate and former England international Paul Konchesky describing him as “one of the best goalkeepers, he has ever played with”.
Schmeichel earned praise for a short-distance reaction save against Portsmouth in November 2011 which was described as “one of the best saves I have seen in a very long time” by Portsmouth manager Michael Appleton. Nigel Pearson described it as a “world-class, outstanding save” at that point of the match.
In all, Schmeichel played 52 games, keeping 17 clean sheets and saving four penalties. On 30 April, he was named the club’s Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year for the 2011–12 season.
In the first half of the 2012–13 season, Schmeichel kept 12 clean sheets in 28 games, which was the most in the league, as Leicester finished second in the table, earning him interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid and leading to his first cap for Denmark.
A particularly impressive save came against Blackburn Rovers in February. On 16 April 2013, he made his 100th Leicester appearance in a 3–2 win over Bolton Wanderers.
Wes Morgan and Schmeichel were both named to the 2012–13 Championship PFA Team of the Year.
Schmeichel’s nine clean sheets during a 19-game unbeaten run helped Leicester win promotion from the Championship with six games to spare during the 2013–14 campaign.
Due to Schmeichel’s high-quality performances, both Manchester United and Milan were linked with moves for the Danish international during the January transfer window.
In March, TV footage appeared to support Schmeichel’s claim that he had scored his first goal when Leicester equalized, in injury time, against Yeovil Town.
However, the match officials ruled that his header had not crossed the line and the goal was officially credited to Chris Wood, who followed up to put the ball in the net.
It was announced at the end of the 2013–14 season that Schmeichel had signed a four-year contract extension until the summer of 2018 with Leicester.
For Leicester’s return to the Premier League, Schmeichel played the full 90 minutes in the 5–3 victory over Manchester United on 21 September 2014.
In December 2014, Schmeichel broke his metatarsal in training, ruling him out for up to six weeks.
During his absence, Leicester signed goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer as a replacement. In March 2015, Schmeichel returned from injury three months later and beat Schwarzer to play in Tottenham Hotspur’s 4–3 loss.
Schmeichel was nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award for his clean sheets against Swansea City and Burnley as Leicester won four out of five games in April.
After securing Premier League safety following a goalless draw with Sunderland on 16 May, Schmeichel stated his belief that Nigel Pearson should win Manager of the Season. He said Pearson is the best manager Schmeichel has ever played for. Pearson was, however, sacked after the season ended.
Leicester City finished top of the table on Christmas Day under Claudio Ranieri, Pearson’s replacement. Leicester City finished top of the table on Christmas Day under Claudio Ranieri, Pearson’s replacement.
In their tenth game, the team finally kept a clean sheet for the first time this season. As a result, Schmeichel kept his 12th clean sheet of the season in the reverse fixture against Palace on 19 March.
As of 2 May 2016, he won the Premier League title at 29 years old, the same age as when his father won the first title for Manchester United in 1993.
Both times, the respective teams (Manchester United and Leicester City) won the titles by defeating their nearest rivals (Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur).
The Schmeichels became the only biological father and son to win the Premier League in the same position.
Despite rumors of a move away following Leicester City’s title-winning campaign in 2015-16, Schmeichel signed a five-year contract extension on 6 August 2016.
At the FA Community Shield, Schmeichel faced the FA Cup champions, Manchester United, and the match ended in a defeat for the reigning champions by a score of 2–1.

Chan was born in Hong Kong as Chan Kong-sang to Charles and Lee-Lee Chan, refugees from the Chinese Civil War. His parents nicknamed him Pao-Pao because the dynamic child was always rolling around. His parents served for the French ambassador in Hong Kong, and Chan contributed his developmental years within the grounds of the consul’s home in the Victoria Peak district.
Chan joined the Nah-Hwa Primary School on Hong Kong Island, where he failed his first year, after which his parents removed him from the school. In 1960, his father immigrated to Canberra, Australia, to serve as the head cook for the American embassy, and Chan was transferred to the China Drama Academy, a Peking Opera School run by Master Yu Jim-yuen.
Chan prepared rigorously for the next decade, exceeding in martial arts and acrobatics. He finally became part of the Seven Little Fortunes, a performance group made up of the school’s best students, getting the stage name Yuen Lo in homage to his master. Chan became close friends with fellow group members Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao, and the three of them later became recognized as the Three Brothers or Three Dragons.
After joining the film industry, Chan along with Sammo Hung got the chance to train in hapkido under the grand master Jin Pal Kim, and Chan finally attained a black belt. Jackie Chan also practiced in other styles of martial arts such as Karate, Judo, Taekwondo, and Jeet Kune Do.
Chan met his parents in Canberra, Australia in 1976, where he quickly attended Dickson College and served as a construction worker. A fellow builder called Jack took Chan under his wing, thus earning Chan the nickname of “Little Jack,” later reduced to “Jackie”, which has stuck with him ever since. In the late 1990s, Chan became his Chinese name to Fong Si-lung, since his father’s original surname was Fong.
In 1982, Chan married Joan Lin, a Taiwanese actress. Their son, singer, and actor Jaycee Chan was born that same year. After he engaged in an extra-marital affair with Elaine Ng Yi-Lei, an illegitimate daughter by the name of Etta Ng Chok Lam was born on 18 January 1999.
It changed into a scandal within the media. Although he reportedly gave Elaine 70,000 HK dollars each month for her living expenses and 600,000 HK dollars when she went to Shanghai, the transactions were later claimed to be nonexistent by her lawyer.
Despite lamenting the results of the affair, Chan told he had “only committed a fault that many men in the world commit”. During the incident, Elaine said she would take care of her daughter without Chan.

Casino Gambling Facts and Myths
Table of Contents
There’s no doubt that casino gambling can be a fun and exciting experience. But like anything else, it’s important to know the facts before you start playing. In this article, we’ll dispel some of the myths about casino gambling and give you the real scoop on what to expect. So without further ado, let’s get started!
Myth – Casino gambling is a waste of money
For many people, gambling is a waste of money. They see it as a vice that leads to nothing but debt and misery. However, this view is based on a number of misconceptions.
First of all, not all gambling is created equal. There is a big difference between going to the casino and buying a lottery ticket. Casinos are designed to take your money, but they also offer the opportunity to win big.
Lotteries, on the other hand, are a pure gamble with very little chance of winning. So, if you’re only gambling with what you can afford to lose and you’re aware of the odds, then it’s not really a waste of money.
Secondly, gambling can actually be a lot of fun. It’s a way to socialize and enjoy yourself without having to spend a lot of money. In fact, if you’re smart about it, you can actually come out ahead in the long run.
So, don’t believe the myth that gambling is always a waste of money. With a little bit of knowledge and self-control, you can make it work for you.
Fact – You can win big jackpots if you’re lucky
Casinos are places where people go to gamble. They offer a variety of games, including slots (Nyerőgépek), poker, blackjack, and roulette. While some people believe that casinos are rigged, the truth is that they are regulated by state governments and must adhere to strict rules and regulations.
One of the most important things to remember about gambling is that the house always has an edge. This means that over time, the casino will make money. However, this does not mean that you cannot win big jackpots if you’re lucky. In fact, many people have won life-changing sums of money at casinos. The key is to remember that gambling is a game of chance and to only gamble with money you can afford to lose.
Myth – Casinos are rigged against players
When it comes to casinos, there are a lot of myths and misconceptions floating around. One of the most common is the idea that casinos are somehow “rigged” against players, making it impossible to win. However, this simply isn’t true.
Casinos make their money by offering games with a built-in house edge, meaning that they will always come out ahead in the long run. However, this doesn’t mean that players can never win. In fact, with a bit of luck and skill, it is possible to beat the odds and come out ahead.
The key is to remember that the house always has an edge, and to approach gambling with realistic expectations. With that in mind, there’s no reason why you can’t have a fun and successful experience at the casino.
Fact – Casinos use random number generators to ensure fairness
Random number generators (RNGs) are used to ensure that every spin of the roulette wheel or hand of blackjack is completely random and Fair casino operators use RNGs to create genuinely random numbers, which are then used to determine the outcome of games.
While it is impossible to predict the exact outcome of a game, RNGs provide players with a fair chance of winning. In addition, RNGs help to keep casinos honest by ensuring that they cannot manipulate the outcomes of games.
As such, random number generators are an essential part of any fair and safe casino. Players can be confident that the games they are playing are truly random, and that their chances of winning are not being manipulated by the casino.
Myth – Gambling addiction is a sign of weakness
Gambling addiction is often framed as a moral failing or a sign of weakness. However, this couldn’t be further from the truth. In reality, gambling addiction is a serious mental health condition that can have devastating consequences.
While anyone can develop a gambling problem, there are certain risk factors that make some people more vulnerable. For example, people with anxiety or depression are more likely to develop an addiction to gambling.
Furthermore, gambling addictions tend to run in families, suggesting that there may be a genetic component. Despite the myths and stigma surrounding gambling addiction, it is a very real and serious problem. If you or someone you know is struggling with a gambling problem, don’t hesitate to seek help from a mental health professional.
Fact – Anyone can develop gambling problems
Gambling addiction is a very real problem that can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or race. While many people think of gambling addiction as a problem that only affects older men, the reality is that anyone can develop this disorder.
Women and young people are just as susceptible to gambling addiction as men, and the rates of addiction among different racial groups are fairly equal. The one thing that all gambling addicts have in common is that they tend to be impulsive and have difficulty controlling their urge to gamble.
If left unchecked, this impulse can lead to serious financial problems, relationship problems, and even mental health issues. Anyone who thinks they may have a gambling problem should seek professional help as soon as possible. With treatment, it is possible to recover from this disorder and lead a healthy and productive life.
Myth – Casinos are only for high rollers
Many people believe that casinos are only for high rollers, but that is simply not true. While it is true that some casinos do cater to wealthy guests, there are just as many that welcome players of all budgets.
In fact, most casinos offer a variety of gaming options that can fit any budget. For example, slot machines are typically very affordable, and table games like blackjack and roulette can be played for relatively low stakes.
There are even some casinos that offer free gaming opportunities. No matter what your budget may be, there is a casino out there that will welcome you with open arms. So next time you think about heading to a casino, don’t let the high roller myth discourage you. There’s a place for everyone at the table.
Fact – You can gamble from the comfort of your own home
These days, you don’t need to venture out to a crowded casino or noisy racetrack to enjoy a little gambling. Instead, you can simply log on to your computer or pull out your smartphone and gamble from the comfort of your own home.
This convenience is one of the major factors driving the growth of online gambling. According to a recent report, the global online gambling market is expected to grow by nearly $60 billion over the next five years.
This is thanks in large part to the increasing popularity of mobile devices and the development of new technology that makes it easier than ever to gamble online. Whether you’re playing a game of poker or placing a bet on the outcome of a sporting event, online gambling offers a fun and easy way to take a chance and potentially win big.
Myth – You cannot win playing slot machines
Slot machines are a popular form of gambling, and they can be found in casinos all over the world. Many people believe that you cannot win playing slot machines, but this is simply not true. While it is true that the house always has an edge, there are ways to increase your chances of winning.
First, it is important to understand how slot machines work. Each machine has a random number generator that determines where the reels will land. The odds of hitting a particular combination are always the same, no matter how many times the machine is played.
However, with each spin, the machine changes the odds slightly in favor of the house. Over time, this gives the house an overall edge. However, if you know how to take advantage of bonuses and promotions, you can offset this edge and increase your chances of winning. With a little luck and some patience, you can beat the slots and walk away a winner.
Fact – Pathological gambling is a serious problem
Problem gambling is a serious problem because it can lead to financial ruin, mental health problems, and social isolation. People who gamble frequently are at a higher risk of developing a gambling addiction, and this can have devastating consequences.
Problem gamblers often gamble excessively, which can lead to them accumulating large amounts of debt. They may also start to neglect their work, family, and other obligations in order to gamble. In extreme cases, pathological gambling can lead to suicide.
This is why it is important to seek help if you or someone you know has a gambling problem. pathological gambling is a serious problem because it can lead to financial ruin, mental health problems, and social isolation.

Contemporary Vehicle Technologies
Cars have come a long way since when they were first invented, and any car that you buy today, even the base model of some lines, will come comprehensively outfitted with advanced features and technology. Lexus is one of many automakers responsible for several automotive innovations over the years – in 2002, the premium brand introduced LED headlights to the automotive world – donned by the LS 600h. Ten years later in 2012, the Lexus LS debuted with the first high-beam LED headlights. Now, almost another ten years later, the 2020 Lexus RX SUV comes equipped with a pioneering BladeScan adaptive headlight system. These are the inventions and innovations that are defining the future of the automotive world, so without further ado, here are some of the other interesting vehicle technologies of our time and some other brands and their pioneering car innovations.
Five Modern Vehicle Technologies
There are a near-infinite amount of car-specific technologies and innovations out there, so here we list just some of the newer additions:
BladeScan Adaptive headlight System – Though first introduced with the RX, soon all of Lexus’s SUV models and other vehicles will come standard with the all-new Blade Scan adaptive headlight system. The system simply improves the lighting precision of the LED high-beam headlights in order to make specific difficult-to-see areas, such road margins, pedestrians, obstacles, and distant road signs, easier to see and from a further distance.
Blind-Spot Information System – Volvo is attributed with the first use of the blind-spot information system, a technology that uses cameras or sensors in the sideview mirrors of the car to sense cars within the drivers rear-diagonal blind spots. If there is a car in those blind-spots, the system will alert the driver with a visual and/or audible prompt. This has become a really nifty addition especially for large-size vehicles such as pickup trucks and crossover SUVs.
Lane Keep Assist – Automation and driver-assistance technology has become the center of attention throughout the automotive industry and media. Lane keep assist is an automatic function that can be activated when desired. It utilizes the car’s steering and brakes along with some sensors to automatically keep the car centered within the road lanes.
Built-in Wi-Fi Hotspot – Along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, Wi-Fi hotspot capability is also starting to become a staple in most modern cars. It allows for several devices to connect to the internet at a time, and helps people stay connected even in low-signal areas.
Voice Recognition – With how many vehicle accidents are attributed to drivers being distracted by their mobile phones, voice recognition technology will soon be a standard. This software lets drivers verbally call out commands for the vehicle, from answering a tethered phone to even initiating a vehicle function such as cruise control. In the USA, the backup camera became a mandatory feature for all new cars produced as of 2018, so we’re sure that anything that improves automotive safety will follow suit.
Brand-Specific Vehicle Inventions
Here are some of the vehicle technology inventions that particular brands have been credited with or have patented. Most, if not all inventions and innovations were conceptualized by specific individuals working within the automotive, engineering, and scientific space, but these are some that the brands themselves have taken credit for, some are exclusive to the brands own models, others have become staples in all modern cars.
General Motors – Air cushion restraint system (air bags).
Volvo – Three-point safety belt, including for middle back seat. Side Impact Protection System.
Automakers have focused mostly on the performance and design side of things for a long time. However, at present and going forward, electric vehicle technology and autonomous driving are the center of attention in the automotive world. That encapsulates battery and charging station technology as well as camera, sonar, radar, and other sensing technologies. This is all in an effort to improve the eco-friendliness of transportation by moving beyond the combustion engine and fuel economy to electricity and zero-emissions. It’s an exciting time within the automotive sphere, and there’s a lot to look forward to for the future.
