The professional footballer from Morocco was born and reared in the commune of Bourg-de-Peage in the Drôme department in southeast France. His decision to represent the Moroccan national team fulfilled a dream for his proud Moroccan family. He began his career in 2010 with Valence and, after just one season, transferred to Clermont.
He made a solid impact while in Clermont and was praised for his excellent performances. He moved to Le Havre after just two seasons, where he participated in 60 games. It was confirmed on July 3, 2015, that he has joined the squad of Angers, a Ligue 1 team. The Moroccan midfielder participated in 35 matches for Angers that year, and he helped the team reach an incredible ninth in Ligue 1.
His breakthrough season is regarded as this one; Wolves scouts also discovered him on French fields. After just one season, he made the move to England! In 2016, he relocated to England and signed a four-year contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
