Alphonse Francis Areola, or Alphonse Areola, is a French professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club West Ham United, on loan from Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and the France national team. Club Career

• Areola began playing football at the age of six for Entente Sportive des Petits Anges and spent seven years at his local club before joining Paris Saint-Germain. Upon the recommendation of coaches in Paris, Areola enrolled at the Clairefontaine football center at the age of 15 in order to further his development.
• The following year, he returned to PSG and signed a three-year contract, his first professional contract with the club.
